Puerto Rico Youth Challenge Academy is an educational alternative that focuses on helping young school dropouts aged 16 to 18 years old. It comprises of twenty (22) Residential weeks; where they provide young people with a functional atmosphere of quasi-military discipline, focusing on the eight basic components within the structure of the Academy. These components are: Academic Excellence, Leadership and Partnership, Responsible Citizenship, Job Skills, Life Skills, Fitness, Health Education, Nutrition, Sexuality and Health and Community Service in order to educate them and prepare them for their return to society as law-abiding and productive citizens order.
