Welcome to the official social media platforms of the Puerto Rico Youth ChalleNGe Academy (PRYCA).
Our social media platforms serve as official communication channels to share educational information, program announcements, recruitment opportunities, institutional activities, community outreach initiatives, and updates about our Academy.
We encourage parents, guardians, Cadets, alumni, community partners, and the general public to engage respectfully and constructively with our content.
By participating in our official social media platforms, users are expected to follow the guidelines outlined below.

1. General Disclaimer
The information published on PRYCA's official social media platforms is intended for public awareness, education, and institutional communication.
Comments, opinions, and information submitted by external users do not necessarily reflect the official views, policies, or positions of PRYCA, the Puerto Rico National Guard (PRNG), the National Guard Bureau (NGB), or the United States Department of Defense (DoD).
The appearance of external links, organizations, products, or services on our platforms does not constitute an official endorsement by PRYCA or any affiliated government agency.

2. Privacy and Security
PRYCA is committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and safety of its Cadets, personnel, families, and community members.
To maintain a secure digital environment, users must not publicly share:

Personal Information: Private addresses, telephone numbers, identification numbers, confidential records, or other Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Cadet Information: Confidential educational, disciplinary, medical, or personal information concerning Cadets.

Restricted Information: Sensitive operational details, security procedures, or confidential institutional information.

Safety-Related Information: Any information that could compromise the safety or security of Cadets, personnel, families, or Academy facilities.
Users are responsible for the information they voluntarily disclose through public comments and interactions.
Important: Please do not submit sensitive personal information through public social media comments. For matters involving personal records, admissions documentation, or confidential concerns, contact the Academy through its official communication channels.

3. Copyright and Trademark Disclaimer
Official PRYCA logos, institutional branding, photographs, videos, graphics, insignia, and other protected materials must be used in accordance with applicable copyright, trademark, and government policies.
The following restrictions apply:

Unauthorized commercial use, modification, or misrepresentation of official PRYCA or Puerto Rico National Guard branding and insignia is prohibited.

Users must not publish copyrighted or trademarked materials without appropriate authorization.

Sharing publicly available PRYCA content does not grant permission to falsely represent institutional affiliation, sponsorship, approval, or endorsement.
We encourage the responsible sharing of our official publications while respecting applicable intellectual property rights and institutional identity.

4. Comment Moderation and Public Participation Guidelines
PRYCA welcomes respectful questions, comments, feedback, and discussions related to our mission, educational programs, recruitment initiatives, and institutional activities.
To maintain a safe, respectful, and professional online environment, the following content is not permitted:

Threats, harassment, bullying, intimidation, or personal attacks.

Obscene, sexually explicit, excessively graphic, or otherwise inappropriate material.

Discriminatory, hateful, or abusive language.

Spam, fraudulent links, unauthorized commercial advertisements, or solicitations.

Content promoting illegal activities, threats, or violence.

Disclosure of confidential or sensitive information involving Cadets, families, or personnel.

Unauthorized use of copyrighted or trademarked materials.

Information that compromises operational security or the safety of Academy participants.

Impersonation of PRYCA personnel, government representatives, or official institutional accounts.

Unauthorized political campaigning, commercial endorsements, or promotional activities unrelated to the Academy's mission.

Comment Moderation
PRYCA reserves the right to moderate, hide, remove, or report content that violates these published guidelines, applicable laws, or social media platform policies, consistent with applicable legal requirements.
Moderation decisions will be based on established participation rules and will not be made solely because a user expresses disagreement, criticism, or an opposing viewpoint.
Repeated violations may result in additional restrictions when authorized by applicable policies and platform procedures.
We value constructive feedback and encourage respectful communication, even when opinions differ.

5. Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Notice
Official communications and records maintained by PRYCA may be subject to applicable government records management requirements and the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. § 552.
Please note:

Comments, direct messages, and interactions on PRYCA's social media platforms do not constitute formal FOIA requests.

Individuals seeking access to government records under FOIA must submit their requests through the appropriate designated government FOIA office and established procedures.

Requests for official government records received through our social media platforms may be referred to the appropriate authorized office for processing.

6. Acceptance of Terms
By participating in PRYCA's official social media platforms, users are expected to comply with these Terms of Use, applicable platform policies, and relevant federal and Puerto Rico laws.
PRYCA reserves the right to revise or update these guidelines as necessary to maintain compliance with applicable public affairs policies, security requirements, and institutional procedures.
Continued participation is subject to these published guidelines and applicable legal requirements.
