Puerto Rico Youth ChalleNGe Academy Class 25-02 Shines During “Tarde de Logros”

Juana Díaz, Puerto Rico – September 13, 2025 – The Puerto Rico Youth ChalleNGe Academy, a program under the Puerto Rico National Guard, celebrated the highly anticipated Tarde de Logros (Afternoon of Achievements) for Class 25-02 this past Saturday at the Costa Bahía Hotel in Guayanilla.

The event was filled with pride and emotion as cadets were recognized for their discipline, dedication, and commitment to excellence. During the ceremony, 14 High Honor Cadets and 14 Honor Cadets were distinguished for their outstanding academic and leadership performance. In addition, the most outstanding cadets from each platoon were awarded, highlighting their perseverance, discipline, and leadership throughout the program.

From the Puerto Rico National Guard, we reaffirm our commitment to these young people who accepted the challenge to build a future with purpose,” expressed Puerto Rico’s Adjutant General, Carlos J. Rivera Román.

Celebrating Academic and Professional Growth

Beyond academic recognition, the ceremony also spotlighted cadets’ achievements in professional and technical training. Cadets received certifications from prestigious educational institutions including Mech Tech College, Conexión Laboral de Coamo, Central College University, Dewey University, NUC IBC Technical Division, and Ana G. Méndez University. These collaborations expand opportunities for cadets as they prepare to enter the workforce and higher education.

Tarde de Logros is not just about grades or certifications—it’s about the courage of each young person who decided to transform, serve their community, and create a new path forward,” said Matilde Almodóvar, Director of the Puerto Rico Youth ChalleNGe Academy.

A Collective Celebration of Transformation

The Tarde de Logros was not only a moment of individual recognition but also a collective celebration, shared by families, staff, and the academic community. The atmosphere was filled with applause, tears of joy, and heartfelt pride as the cadets’ journeys of resilience and transformation were honored.

As Class 25-02 approaches the culmination of their cycle, preparations are already underway for their official graduation on September 19, 2025, at the Coliseo Dolores “Toyita” Martínez in Juana Díaz. On that day, Puerto Rico will proudly welcome a new generation of disciplined leaders committed to their future and the well-being of their communities.
